Navigating the First week of Preschool
Finally! Holidays are over and school is back! The first week of preschool is always filled with a
mix of emotions, discoveries and small triumphs. Children embark on a new adventure that will
definitely open their eyes to the world out there. Parents, also, step into a new chapter of letting
their children learn on their own.
Definitely, the first week of preschool is one for the books. For some children, it is a thrilling
adventure, and they naturally adjust in coming to school. For some, it is a mix of tearful goodbyes
from their parents and transition to school can be challenging. Engaging activities help ease this
transition, enabling the children to trust their teachers, and have the opportunity to interact with
their peers. Over the course of the week, we are excited to see the classroom transform from an
unfamiliar territory to a place of comfort, happiness, learning and fun here in BBS.
Parents also play a big role in the first week of preschool. Their trust towards the school and
teachers is an important factor in the child’s successful adjustment. As parents and teachers
collaborate to support these young learners, we know that the first week of preschool will
definitely be a start of a wonderful adventure.
As the first week unfolds, we celebrate the milestones that each preschooler goes through. It is a
time of new beginnings, where preschoolers start their journey towards lifelong learning,
discovery, growth and friendships.
